Could time be running out for Leeds United boss Simon Grayson after yet another woeful performance from his players?
We may still be sat in sixth place in the championship table and occupying a play-off place, but things do not seem right.
What is happening inside Elland Road, why are the players falling well short of the levels we know they can reach and just how will it be turned around?
They are all his players, who for some reason are not playing for him and have not for a long time apart for the two games against Forest and Millwall when the motivation was there for Gary Speed.
Since Andy O'Brien spoke out publically about Grayson, saying he would never play for him again and he had no problem with the club, performances have got worse and the last two against Watford and Reading have been amongst the worst I have seen, and that is saying something in over 30 years of watching Leeds.
We know these players can do it, we have seen it, so why are they currently playing like a bunch of strangers?
People may point to lack of money available to bring players in. Whichever way you look at it, they are his signings.
As Grayson lost the dressing room? Substitutions yesterday were as ever, predictable and McCormack must wonder why he is as always the sacrificial lamb up front when Becchio and Keogh have done very little between them.
What will we see in the next game, many changes? I doubt it despite another inept performance because he always sticks with his favourites.
The players do not look fit enough, no movement, we do not close down in packs like Reading were yesterday. We always look tired, without ideas and we certainly do not have a plan B, as the substitutions can always be predicted before kick-off.
This is not remarks on the back of a defeat, I have been saying it for a while but we have really rowed our luck. It looks like it is finally running out and I am sure it will not be long before time will run out on Grayson with a few more performances and results like this.
Bates has been issuing statements recently that we must get promotion and questioning the manager.
Yesterday in his programme notes, he eluded to fans (morons as he likes to call us) writing to him expressing their concerns about the manager and his staff.
Bates preferred to point out what Grayson had achieved already in his three previous years in charge at Elland Road.
Was this a vote of confidence from his chairman, because we all know what normally follows and Bates as never been scared of firing a managers or two.
