LUFC Vayrynen - My best is yet to come

Leeds United midfielder Mika Vayrynen is hoping to kick-start his Leeds career after making his first appearance at Watford at the weekend since undergoing surgery.

The experienced Finland international midfielder had missed the last six games following an operation on a hernia injury.

Vayrynen signed for Leeds in September on a one-year deal, with Leeds taking the option of an extra year.

The Finn is now hoping to show Leeds what he can do with fellow midfielder Jonny Howson expected to be out until after the festive period.

Speaking on the official website, Vayrynen said, "I came here in September and played a few games at the start.
"The hernia operation was necessary and now I feel better.
"Hopefully my best is yet to come. I`ll play reserve games too and my fitness will come."

Vayrynen made an impact when coming off the bench at the weekend at Watford and it was the midfielder, who was fouled for the penalty, in the dying seconds of the game. Robert Snodgrass kept his cool to score from the spot and extend Leeds unbeaten run to three games.

The 29 year old has made nine appearances since joining Leeds, with just one start so far at Peterborough in October.

I would like to see him given a decent run in the side.

With Howson injured and the rest of the Central Midfield misfiring give him a go but for more than 1 game

At his best this guy is a class player, make no mistake. Couldn't quite believe we'd signed an international player of this calibre. And gasp, he's not on loan (ha!) When he is fully fit and has regained his sharpness, he will possibly be the best player we've got on our books. We will see.
