LUFC Grayson - Parker is working hard to get fit
Ben Parker could get a run out in a behind closed doors friendly on Tuesday after returning to training after his latest long term injury.
The defender has had a terrible run of injuries over the last two and a half years restricting him to just nine appearances since the start of the 2009/10 season.
Parker returned to training just over a week ago and he has spent the whole of this week training with the first team squad.
Leeds boss Simon Grayson is hopeful that the defenders injury nightmares are finally behind him.
Speaking on Yorkshire Radio, Grayson said, "He`s done a lot of work with the physio over the last two or three weeks in terms of a mini pre-season, doing running and doing weights and that has allowed him to get back training with the first team.
"To be fair to him he has looked very fit and strong and we have got a reserve game on Tuesday and we will wait and see if he is to play any part in that but it is just nice to see him back out there. For the lad himself, it has been a difficult couple of years for him."
Parker has played just the one game so far this season when he started the Carling Cup tie with Bradford City back in August.
The 24 year old will be hoping to stay fit for the remainder of the season with his contract due for renewal next summer.
