LUFC Amazing away run continues in FA Cup

The FA Cup draw once again sees Leeds United on the road in the competition, something they have grown accustomed to in the last ten years.

Leeds once again face a trip to the Emirates to face Arsenal in this year`s third round, just twelve months after receiving the exact same draw.

The tie against one of the leading Premier League sides makes it four draws in a row against sides inside the top four in the Premier League, having been drawn against Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur in 2010 and Arsenal in 2011.

In fact, Leeds last eight draws, when Premier League sides have entered the competition. Leeds have been drawn against teams from the top division in seven of them.

It is now eight ties since Leeds were last given a home draw in the competition. The last came against Northampton Town in 2008.

It continues their misfortune in receiving away draws in the last ten years.

In their last eighteen ties in the competition, only Northampton in 2008 and Arsenal in 2004 have we seen Leeds being drawn at home.

Whilst I personally enjoy the day out that an away trip in the FA Cup brings, especially in the past few seasons, I wonder if any other team could boast a similar record.

Away. And that's how we like it.

In Leeds last four draws they have been drawn against Premier league teams...This time Leeds just might see Arsenal off a big scalp...By the law of averages and all that...Dont think any team in Prem would relish taking on Leeds...It would be nice beating Arsenal this time around and go on a decent run...
