LUFC Grayson - Brown proved he's a good player

Leeds United boss Simon Grayson says midfielder Michael Brown proved what a good player he is in the 4-0 win at Nottingham Forest in midweek.

Brown joined Leeds in the summer on a one-year deal but he has struggled to hold down a regular place in the side since his arrival.

After starting Leeds first four games of the season, Brown was making his first start since the home game with Crystal Palace in September.

Brown saw a fine strike in the first half tipped over by Forest keeper Lee Camp and he claimed an assist on Leeds third goal when Luciano Becchio headed in his cross into the middle.
Speaking on Yorkshire Radio, Grayson said, "It was ideal for him and Adam in the midfield to sit and pass the ball around with Jonny (Howson) breaking forward.
"Michael has had to wait a little bit for his opportunity to come back in the team but he`s like any professional. You don`t play in the Premier League and play for the clubs that he has and games at the highest level, without being a good player.
""He`s worked extremely hard in training and waited for his opportunity and he proved on Tuesday what a good player he is."

Brown`s inclusion was down to a change in formation, with Grayson switching from a 4-4-2 and reverted to a 4-5-1 system, which served Leeds so well last season.
