DesLondon was at the City Ground on Tuesday night and he gives us his fans view of the 4-0 demolition of Nottingham Forest.
McCarthy 7
Did all that was asked of him
Connolly 7
He was solid today
Kisnorbo 7
Nothing much got passed him
Lees 7
Growing in stature, surely the position is his now.
Pugh 7
Not as quick as White but played well
Snodgrass 8.5
One assist, one goal. He may not be the quickest in the league and he may be one footed and look lazy but I would not swap him for any championship player.
Howson 9 Star Man
451 - It is his game. A captain`s performance
Brown 7
Good game, best I have seen from him. Cannot win headers though and when played in the middle with Adam and Jonny it`s a little worrying.
Clayton 6
A little anonymous at times
White 8
What a prospect he is. He loved his midfield role and is rapidly turning in to a top class talent. Premiership will come for him soon.
Becchio 7
Still looked unfit but ran tirelessly for the team. I missed his goal as I was still getting a pie.
Subs:
McCormack 6
Did ok, should have scored though
Keogh 4
Touch of an elephant, he should also have scored
Nunez 4
Also should have scored but again he had terrible touches
The fans 10
Oh Gary Gary Gary, Gary Gary Gary Speed. When we were stopping singing for the 11 minutes Snods hit the back of the net.
It was like a magical moment.
Summary
I am not a fan of 451 but Jonny Howson sure is and he played an excellent game. He linked up well with snods a few times and before half time, we could have been four in front.
White relished his left midfield role which meant the creativity came from two sides as he probed forward dangerously from the whistle.
My only complaint was the lack of headers won in midfield but all of our players gave 100%
Our defence was solid against a pretty poor team who look like relegation fodder, but let that not take away from what was a Gary Speed night.
Simon Grayson came over at the end to clap us and as he turned to go to the dressing room, he pointed to the sky.
Very proud to be a Leeds fan tonight after a very emotional week. I am looking forward to Saturday
Thanks Des for your thoughts
