LUFC Burnley striker praises Kisnorbo

Burnley striker Charlie Austin praised Leeds United defender Patrick Kisnorbo for his support after suffering a dislocated shoulder in the game on Saturday.

Austin fell awkwardly after an aerial challenge and received lengthy treatment before being stretchered off the pitch.

Kisnorbo helped carry Austin off the pitch and also attended him whilst being treated on the pitch.

Austin speaking on the Burnley official website, said, "I spoke to Patrick and he was great on Saturday. I get on with him quite well and he said to me 'what doesn`t kill you only makes you stronger!
"That made me feel a bit better."

Kisnorbo knows a bit about injuries having missed fourteen months with an Achilles injury that saw him miss Leeds run in to promotion from League One in 2010, the World Cup finals in South Africa with Australia and also Leeds first season in the championship.

The defender was rewarded with a new contract by Simon Grayson in the summer despite his lengthy lay off and he is now back in the Leeds fold having played 13 times already this season.

Great to see, well done Kisnorbo! How football should be played. Some good news on the Austin front, might not be as bad as first feared. No fracture and shoulder quickly went back in without being forced unlike last time! Scan on Friday will reveal likely time he will be sidelined

Kis seems to be getting a bit of form back and hopefully he progresses, I felt his injuries were going to finish him at leeds.

Saw how badly injured Austin was and though he wasn't at fault knows what a serious injury is, well done Kisnorbo not all Players are D...H....

Well done Paddy, I think the scoreline would have finished much differently had Austin stayed on as Kisnorbo was struggling with his pace.
