LUFC Defender to miss Barnsley clash
Leeds United defender Darren O`Dea will miss the home clash with Barnsley next weekend after picking up his fifth yellow card of the season.
O`Dea was booked for a poor challenge on Burnley striker Jay Rodriguez and he will serve a one-match suspension for the totting up system.
The on loan defender had only just returned to the side after missing the last two games with a head injury.
Leeds boss Simon Grayson decided to go with O`Dea and Patrick Kisnorbo in the centre of the Leeds defence with Tom Lees, who was returning from suspension, on the bench.
Fellow defender Andy O`Brien played no part having told boss Simon Grayson on Friday that he no longer wanted to play for the club.
O`Dea becomes the sixth Leeds player to serve a suspension this season after Max Gradel, Jonny Howson, Aidy White, Patrick Kisnorbo and Tom Lees all served one match bans for their respective sending offs.
Adam Clayton and Robert Snodgrass are only one booking away from also receiving their fifth of the season and a one-match suspension.
The cut-off date for a player picking up a suspension for five bookings is the final day of the year, after this, players will have to pick up ten yellow cards, which will earn them a two-match ban.
