LUFC Snodgrass - We needed to do it for the fans

Leeds United two goal hero Robert Snodgrass says the players realised they had to turn things around in the second half with almost 4,000 Leeds fans making the short trip across the Pennines.

Leeds looked well below par in the first half of their game at Burnley with on loan goalkeeper Alex McCarthy keeping them in the game with a string of fine saves.

Burnley did go in at half time in front thanks to a Jay Rodriguez header inside ten minutes.

Snodgrass said that they realised they needed to put on a show for the travelling fans and his two goals sent the Leeds fans home happy.

Speaking on BBC1 after the game, Snodgrass said, "We did it here last year and to be honest with you, we are getting used to going behind and then we start to play. The manager will be pulling his hair out; we should be doing that in the first half.

It was in our mind what happened last season, we knew we had to come out and put a show on for the fans."

The win moves Leeds back into the play off places in fifth place.

how about doing it for yourself. The opportunity to play at the highest level is a possibilty or are too many players once again comfortable in the fact that no matter how poor they are they are still Grayson's favourites and in no danger of being dropped.
