LUFC Becchio unhappy with sub role

According to reports in today`s Daily Mirror Leeds United striker Luciano Becchio could be looking for a move away from Elland Road.

The report in The Mirror claims that a source close to the Argentinian striker says that he is disappointed to have not regained his place in the starting eleven after returning from injury in September.

Becchio returned in September after requiring surgery in the summer on a hamstring injury, suffered towards the end of last season against Watford.

The striker marked his return against Crystal Palace with a goal inside ten minutes of entering the field as a second half substitute.

Becchio has made just one start against Manchester United in the Carling cup since his return, with eleven substitute appearances.

Ross McCormack and Andy Keogh are keeping Becchio out of the side.

McCormack is the leading goalscorer in the championship this season with ten goals, although he has gone six games without a goal.

Keogh is on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers until January and despite only scoring twice since arriving in August, his hard working displays have not gone unnoticed.

Becchio, who was the clubs leading goalscorer last season with 20 goals, only signed a new deal with the club last December keeping him at the club until 2014.

The striker scored from the penalty spot in a behind closed doors friendly against Chelsea in the week.

I usually take anything reported in the Daily Mirror with a pinch of salt. I have said it before, his body language and his fitness don't look right at the moment. He's not the Becchio we have all adored for the last three seasons. Battling, putting himself about and scoring goals.

The Daily Make it up stirring the sh.. as usual. Becchio missed all pre-season and is playing catch up, though when we have alot of games start him and give him 50 mins always think he better starting than coming off the bench
