LUFC Experienced keeper in Leeds trial
Leeds United are giving a trial to Northern Ireland international goalkeeper Maik Taylor.
The 40 year old is without a club after being released by Birmingham City at the end of last season after eight years with the club and he played for Leeds today in a behind closed doors friendly against Chelsea.
Leeds boss Simon Grayson will be looking to bolster the goalkeeping position. Andy Lonergan is still out injured with a broken finger and Paul Rachubka is being given a break after a string of costly errors forced Grayson to replace him at half time in the recent game with Blackpool.
Alex McCarthy is currently on a month`s loan from Reading, leaving just Alex Cairns as back up.
Taylor has played almost 700 games in a sixteen-year career including 87 for Ireland.

Zimmer frame and commode will also be provided, come S G we don't need Dads Army just a decnt back up once Lonergan is fit, why not ask Reading to keep McCarthy till the transfer window opens
