LUFC Burnley v Leeds Head To Head

Leeds United make the relatively short trip across the Pennines to face Burnley on Saturday and we look back at the head to head record between the two at Turf Moor.

Saturday will be the 26th meeting between the two sides since they first faced each other during the 1924/25 season.

The sides drew on that occasion 1-1 with Jock Thorn scoring for Leeds.

The following season Burnley recorded their first win when they beat Leeds 6-3.

Leeds had to wait until the fifth meeting at Turf Moor before recording their first win. Two goals from Tom Jennings and one from Harry Duggan secured a 3-0 win.

The two sides met in December last season in one of the games of the season for Leeds fans. Trailing 2-0 at half time and taunting from the Burnley fans, who were singing, 'You should have gone Christmas shopping,` Leeds came back with three goals in the second half from Max Gradel, Luciano Becchio and Jonny Howson to clinch the three points.

I hope we keep another clean sheet but at least nick a goal to bring home the points

We have won five of our last six there, quite a happy hunting ground for us.
