LUFC Former white scores four timer
Former Leeds United striker Mike Grella scored four times on Tuesday night, his first goals for his new club Brentford since joining from Leeds in August.
The American striker was making only his second start in ten appearances for the club since joining from Leeds.
Grella`s four timer helped Brentford move into the Southern section semi finals of the Johnstone`s Paint Trophy as they swept aside Bournemouth 6-0 at Griffin Park.
The striker netted just five times in fourty-two appearances during his time at Leeds.
He struggled to break into the Leeds side last season, their first in the championship and he made just two substitute appearances.
Grella was placed on the transfer list at the end of last season, after spending most of the season on loan at Carlisle United and Swindon Town.

I think that was his first start and hit the post at the end could have been 5. I always thoght he should have went out on loan instead of going on a free

I always liked him - his goals vs time on pitch for us should have got him a better crack at things than he was given but it seems Larry had a point to prove with Paynter (and we all know how well that worked out!!)
