LUFC Clayton happy with sweet strike

Leeds United goalscoring hero Adam Clayton said he enjoyed the goal that earned the club all three points at Leicester City on Sunday.

Clayton scored with a goal worthy of winning any football game. In a very tight game, with chances at a premium, Clayton scored with a superb strike from 25 yards to give his former Manchester City and Leeds United colleague Kasper Schmeichel no chance.

The midfielder was delighted with the strike and he was looking forward to contacting his former colleague.

Speaking on Yorkshire Radio, Clayton said, "It fell nice and I hit it sweet enough and as soon as I hit it I knew it was going in. To score against Kasper, whom I have known since I was really young, adds a little bit to it too.
"I might send him a little message later to see how he`s getting on.
"I enjoyed it very much and I am glad we got the three points."

In a productive season for Clayton, the goal was his fourth of the campaign.

The win moved Leeds back into seventh place in the championship table.
