LUFC Schmeichel - No bad feelings

Former goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel says there are no bad feelings ahead of his first game against Leeds United for Leicester on Sunday.

Schmeichel was unhappy during the summer when Leeds accepted a bid from Leicester City for his services and he said that he was being forced out of the club.

The goalkeeper has been a regular in big spending Leicester`s side this season and he is happy with his new surroundings. Speaking in the Yorkshire Post, Schmeichel said, "There is no bad feeling. I am so happy to be at Leicester. That is all in the past and there is no point living in the past.
"I am really happy I am here and enjoying every minute I am here. This is a new chapter for me."

Schmeichel played 40 times in his one season at Elland Road. He will probably be best remembered for his performance in the FA Cup game at Arsenal, when he helped Leeds secure a replay in a 1-1 draw with a string of fine saves.

Another former Leeds player Jermaine Beckford could also be lining up against for the whites for the first time since his departure in 2010.

Beckford scored 85 times for Leeds in three seasons before joining Everton.

Despite finishing joint top scorer for Everton in his one season at Goodison Park he was sold to Leicester on transfer deadline day.

He has struggled in his first few months at the King Power stadium, netting just the once for his new club.
