LUFC Possible loan move for Calamity keeper

Leeds United manager Simon Grayson says Paul Rachubka could go out on loan to rebuild his confidence after a horror couple of weeks in the Leeds goal.

Rachubka replaced the injured Andy Lonergan for the home game with Coventry and he has suffered a number of errors that culminated in him being replaced in the defeat to Blackpool on Wednesday.

Grayson as already confirmed that he will definitely not be part of the squad for the weekend trip to Leicester City after bringing in Alex McCarthy on loan from Reading.

Speaking on the official website, Grayson said, "We`re taking Paul Rachubka out of the limelight for a few weeks. After that it may be that he will come back on the bench or might even go out on loan."

Rachubka signed from Blackpool in the summer on a two-year deal and he was number two at the club behind Andy Lonergan.

He finally got his chance after Lonergan broke his finger at Doncaster. In his first game against Coventry, his error led to Coventry equalising in the dying seconds of the game.

He also played his part in goals conceded at Peterborough and Birmingham.

His performances reached an all time low on Wednesday, when he was responsible for all three goals conceded by Leeds in the first half against Blackpool.

Grayson replaced Rachubka at half time with youngster Alex Cairns taking his place for the second half.

Who'd want him ???
Tiny T
His leeds career is over but given he has playeed 270 football league games and been player of the season at Blackpool some hard up manager may give him a go if he has injury problems. I cant see Leeds asking for his full wages.

Look the guy is human and I really feel for the guy as he was very distraught by the experience. Nobody goes out to play like that and with the crowd always on his back, who in the same place wouldn't crumble. "Those who have never made a mistake have never made anything"

How did Naylor last so long?
Only-Sleggin
Sorry, sleggin, I gave him a chance after Coventry, another four bad appearances and an absolutely shocker against Blackpool and he had to go. If worked like that in my workplace I would get sacked, and I am not getting paid thousands of pounds a week for the privelege.
