LUFC Grayson - I had to take Rachubka off

Leeds United boss Simon Grayson said he was left with no option but to take goalkeeper Paul Rachubka off at half time, after a horror show from the goalkeeper.

Rachubka was at fault for all three goals in the first half, with the second goal an error that I do not even think a schoolboy would make.

Grayson decided to take Rachubka off at the interval to save him from anymore embarrassment.

Speaking after the game, Grayson said, 'The real kick in the teeth was the three mistakes Paul made, unfortunately.
'There's not a lot I could say to him. He's obviously really down but I felt I had no opportunity to keep him on.
'I felt for himself, for the team, for the club that it was best I took him out of the limelight. Obviously his confidence was very low.'

Rachubka has suffered in the Leeds goal since replacing the injured Andy Lonergan last month. In his first game against Coventry City, it was his shocking error deep into injury time that cost Leeds the three points.

Since then he has continued to struggle with less than convincing displays and after his display on Wednesday night I doubt we will see him in a Leeds shirt again.
