LUFC Fans view v Cardiff City

LUFC Fans view v Cardiff City

Tiny T is back in the hot seat for the fans view, this time after the 1-1 home draw with Cardiff City.

Rachubka 4

A couple of decent saves, but under crosses, he fumbles too much. He does not instil confidence and his distribution is slow and kicking woeful, hurry back Lonergan. Slightly at fault for the goal went to ground too quickly instead of standing up and making himself big.

Connolly 7
Steady, gave little away and he got forward well, backed up Snoddy and some useful crosses.

Lees 8 Star man
Unflustered performance gave next to nothing away, though his distribution can be wasteful at times.

O'Dea 3
Injured, so why did he play? At fault for the goal, why didn't he do his usual, Row Z.

White 8
Again solid at the back, good going forward, lacks the quality with the final ball but that will come.

Snodgrass 8
Got the equaliser and getting back to his tricky best, better dead ball delivery. Caught offside too many times when looking across the line, became predictable as the game wore on wanting to cut back inside.

Clayton 6
A couple of decent shots that had the keeper worried, though looks a little jaded compared to his early season form.

Howson 6
A better second half than first, though his break in the first half deserved a goal, sublime pass to put McCormack through.

Pugh 6
Another who looks tired, perhaps allowing White to have spells in front of him would allow him to recover.

Keogh 5
He had little to work off, battled but needs to get in the box more.

McCormack 6
He had little to work off in the first half, better in the second.

Substitutes
Kisnorbo 6

He looked fitter than earlier in the season, little got past him.

Becchio 6
He looked better today, held the ball and brought others into play.

Sam 6
Deserves to start a game

Summary
A deserved point for the second half performance, though it could have been more. We were caught offside too many times when the man was looking across the line.
The first half was dire, too many long balls, though when we produced a little quality both strikers were at the back post, should be one gambling towards the front?

With the exception of the goal, the defence looked solid. The midfield looks a little jaded with Pugh possibly needing a break on Wednesday.

Rachubka does not breed any confidence in his defence nor in the fans, he flaps at crosses and his distribution is slow and his kicking game, do not go there!
Looking forward, Blackpool are up next, an evening game. I understand Daz will be joining the crowd after winning a couple of tickets on guess the gate [Hope I am right with this Daz].*

Thanks for your thoughts Tiny. You are correct, I did win two tickets on Yorkshire Radio`s guess the gate. Only 13 out with my guess.
