LUFC Clayton - It was two points dropped

Leeds United midfielder Adam Clayton felt it was two points dropped in the 1-1 draw with Cardiff.

Leeds had to rely on a Robert Snodgrass goal inside the final twenty minutes to salvage a point but Clayton felt that their second half performance deserved more than just the Snodgrass goal.

Speaking on Sky Sports, Clayton said, "I think it was a point we deserved in the end but I think it is two points dropped.
"On the second half performance we deserved more than one goal."

Leeds had gone in at the break one goal down after a mistake by Darren O`Dea allowed Cardiff striker Joe Mason in to score.

Leeds struggled in the first half to get in behind the Cardiff defence and headers from Snodgrass and Andy Keogh, which were saved by David Marshall in the Cardiff goal, were the closest they came to scoring.

The second half was dominated by Leeds, with Marshall continuing to thwart Leeds with a number of top quality saves. The keeper was on top form as he denied goal bound efforts from Snodgrass, Ross McCormack, Clayton and Jonny Howson.

After the equaliser, Leeds struggled to maintain the impetus and only had shots off target by McCormack and Lloyd Sam to show for their efforts.
