LUFC O'Dea walking disciplinary tightrope

LUFC O'Dea walking disciplinary tightrope

Leeds United defender Darren O`Dea is the first player to be walking a disciplinary tightrope after picking up his fourth yellow card of the season at Peterborough United.

O`Dea was cautioned for a foul late in the game at Peterborough that had opposition manager Darren Ferguson crying into his dad`s lap, after he felt that O`Dea should have seen a straight red for the tackle.

The Leeds defender rubbed salt into his wounds by scoring the winner in the sixth minute of stoppage time.

O`Dea is now just one yellow card away from an automatic one-match suspension for five yellow cards this season.

Any player who picks up five yellow cards on or before December 31st will serve a one-match suspension.

Leeds have already had four players serve one match suspensions this season following red cards.

Max Gradel and Jonny Howson were sent off against Middlesbrough, Aidy White against Ipswich and Patrick Kisnorbo against Bristol City.

Leeds had a poor disciplinary record in the opening two month`s of the season but have now picked up just four yellow cards in the last three games.
