LUFC O'Dea walking disciplinary tightrope

Leeds United defender Darren O`Dea is the first player to be walking a disciplinary tightrope after picking up his fourth yellow card of the season at Peterborough United.

O`Dea was cautioned for a foul late in the game at Peterborough that had opposition manager Darren Ferguson crying into his dad`s lap, after he felt that O`Dea should have seen a straight red for the tackle.

The Leeds defender rubbed salt into his wounds by scoring the winner in the sixth minute of stoppage time.

O`Dea is now just one yellow card away from an automatic one-match suspension for five yellow cards this season.

Any player who picks up five yellow cards on or before December 31st will serve a one-match suspension.

Leeds have already had four players serve one match suspensions this season following red cards.

Max Gradel and Jonny Howson were sent off against Middlesbrough, Aidy White against Ipswich and Patrick Kisnorbo against Bristol City.

Leeds had a poor disciplinary record in the opening two month`s of the season but have now picked up just four yellow cards in the last three games.

I can't see it being long before he gets it. I didn't think it was worhy of a red card yesterday.. He actually looked like he got a bit of the ball first and the player was nowhere near through on goal.

I dont think most go in hard on purpose...Most on yellow are mostly midfielders, doing their job breaking up play, and getting stuck in, and if they didn't do that the fans, would be on their backs, and saying why didn't he/they, stop him...It's good to see players putting some bite! In...And you see players going down as if they had been shot!...

Its about time we got a bit of luck, the card could have went either way but as we got stroked for White's red I feel we deserved the luck we got.
