LUFC Grayson pleased with hard working display

Leeds United boss Simon Grayson was very happy with the hard working display from his players that saw them record their first away win of the season at Doncaster Rovers.

Grayson marked his 150th game in charge of Leeds with a comfortable 3-0 win at Doncaster who had been unbeaten in their previous three games under new manager Dean Saunders.

Grayson thought the manner of Leeds victory was very pleasing with the overall performance of the side down to the hard work of his players.

Speaking on Sky Sports, Grayson said, "It was very pleasing the way we played and the manner we played. I thought we defended very well as individuals and the shape of the team was very good.
"The one thing we did was we worked very hard."

After a scrappy opening to the game, Leeds took the lead on twenty minutes when Danny Pugh scored for the second game in a row.

The lead was doubled early in the second half thanks to an acrobatic finish from the inform Ross McCormack who netted his tenth goal of the season.

Defender Tom Lees headed a third for Leeds as the whites recorded their first away win since March and their first clean sheet on the road since February.

There is definitely a confidence running through the side at the moment from front to back. They are all working hard. Snodgrass didn't have one of his games where he was turning the full back inside out but he was working very hard along with the rest of the midfield. When you have two forwards leading by example by their hard work then the team must follow.

I don't know what Grayson said/done during the International break? But whatever it seems to have worked...I think in reality the players knew, they weren't doing what they know they could do...And they also realised! That they are playing for Leeds! And the best! Fans that they could play for...I just hope it continues and the ''Mighty Whites'' push on''...
