LUFC McCormack misses out

Leeds United inform striker Ross McCormack has somehow missed out on a recall to the Scotland squad despite his fine start to the season.

McCormack has already netted nine times for Leeds this season, including six in his last four championship games, but whilst Robert Snodgrass is included in the Scotland squad for their European 2012 qualifiers against Liechtenstein and Spain there is no place for McCormack.

The striker earned a recall for Scotland at the end of last season after scoring in Leeds last two games in the championship and he started their nation`s cup game against Wales.

The 25 year old has already missed out on the two squads named by Scotland boss Craig Levein since the start of the season and this is the latest snub for a player on top form.

Finnish duo Mika Vayrynen and Mikael Forssell have been included in the Finland squad for their Euro qualifiers against Sweden and Hungary.

Leeds now have six players on international duty next week with Darren O`Dea, Andy Keogh and Aidy White already included in their respective Republic of Ireland squads.
