LUFC Grayson full of praise for McCormack

Leeds United boss Simon Grayson was full of praise for striker Ross McCormack after the strike pounced late on to clinch all three points for Leeds.

McCormack pounced late on for Leeds to clinch all three points, after the whites had been reduced to ten men just past the hour when Patrick Kisnorbo was shown a straight red card for a professional foul.

The Scottish international striker scored a late winner for the second Saturday in a row and Grayson was full of praise for his striker.

Speaking in the Yorkshire Post, Grayson said, 'Ross was in the right place at the right time and showed a striker's instinct.
'We could have been two or three goals up in the opening minutes but in the end we ground out the result.'

McCormack is now the leading goalscorer in the championship this season, scoring six goals in seven championship games.

The striker also showed his versatility during the game playing in a number of different positions after the sending off, with him finishing the game in the centre of midfield.

was impressed with McCormack again yesterday, worked really hard all game and moved into a number of different positions. Typical instinct strikers goal. He's full of confidence at the moment, long may it continue.

2 goals in 2 games from the quality of the knockdowns, can't argue he's on top form in front of goal

Nothing to do with being in the right place at the right time? Gary Lineker was a prolific goalscorer by timing his movement to perfection. Every one else was ball watching yesterday whilst McCormack pounced.

McCormack is playing as well as anyone in the side. Looking good for 25 goals plus this season.
