LUFC Leeds v Bristol City Head To Head

Leeds United and Bristol City meet at Elland Road for the sixteenth occasion in their histories on Saturday.

In the previous fifteen at Leeds, the whites have much the better record, winning nine, losing four and drawing two.

The first ever encounter between the two sides came during the 1920/21 season when Bristol City left Elland Road with a 1-0 win.

Leeds won the next encounter 3-0 the following season thanks to two goals from Tommy Howarth and one from Jim Moore.

The win remains Leeds biggest home win over Bristol City.

Despite Bristol winning on just four occasions, they have won three of the last seven encounters dating back to the 1973/74 season.

The last two games have both resulted in Leeds winning 3-1.

Bristol City enjoyed their biggest win during the 1979/80 season when they left Elland Road with a 3-1 win.

When they met last season, the game changed on a substitution on the hour mark.

Luciano Becchio came off the bench to notch a seventeen-minute hat trick for Leeds between the 66th and 83rd minutes.

The game was heading for a boring goalless draw last season until Becchio came on and scored a fantastic hat trick. Same again would do nicely.

I'd take 3 pts now, lets hope Becchio keeps scoring
