LUFC Trialist plays major role in Finland win

Whilst Leeds United are still pondering whether to sign trialist Mikael Forssell the Finland striker played a key part in Finland`s win over Moldova.

Forssell netted his 26th national goal from the penalty spot as Finland beat Moldova 4-1 in their Euro 2012 qualifier.

The 30 year old made it 3-0 when he sent the Moldovan goalkeeper the wrong way from the spot.

Forssell was also involved in two of the other three goals scored by Finland.

Kasper Hamalainen opened the scoring for Finland, when Forssell`s near post-flicked header, was put in at the far post by Hamalainen.

The striker was also involved in Finland`s fourth goal when he put Moldovan defender Igor Armas under pressure at the far post and he could only divert the ball into his own goal.

Leeds have yet to make a decision on the former Chelsea and Birmingham City striker who spent last season with Bundesliga side Hannover96 before being released at the end of last season.

But it still doesn't seem good enough to earn a contract at Leeds. Next week he will probably sign for a League Two side who Forssell says 'are ambitious!'

I think it will all depend on how much wages his agent wants. He is not a reliable prospect with his injury record and he failed his West Ham medical so I wouldnt expect there to be queue for him. If Becchio is back for the next game where eactly would we play him assuming Keogh and McCormack are also fit.

Think we've looked long enough and with Becchio back hopefully this weekend can't see the need for him

Is a good player and wouldn't mind him coming in...Getting on a bit and injury prone and with Becchio coming back if he come in I think he'd be warming the bench''...I think Grayson should be looking at bringing a couple of defenders in instead...

We wont sign Forssell now that Becchio is back to fitness. Grayson already has four strikers at the club. Ok, three and Paynter.
