Forget Bates, these people are the parasites that continue to mess our club up and also drive ticket prices up with their demands for often average players. The game was so much easier before they came along.

Bit misleading - we're 9th! Hardly near the top, more in the middle. Also, agents provide a legal-type service to their players. They work on their behalf to secure the best deal and are entitled to their cut regardless of what Chairman tell you. 800k is a drop in the ocean of what players wages are, so why is subject so contentious? Do you have a union rep at work? This is football's equivalent. And also, why should players walk into a meeting with Bates and Shaun Harvey (a lawyer) without having a well informed person fighting their corner? Bates doesn't like agents because he can't con them like he can players.

I agree Milky well put.....You see teams like Bristol City above us and teams like Boro whose average attendance is way down, how on earth do they survive. I think its a case that a number of these teams live from week to week rather than investing for the future.

Come on Dazza ... would you let bates arrange you a contract of employment without having an objective mind in your corner?? - a few years back Kewels agent got 5 million in his pocket for one deal and in his book he says he only got away with that because we didnt have an agent in our corner cos prof McKensie was trying to "save money"
