LUFC Clayton - A brilliant point

Adam Clayton was the Leeds hero with a last minute equaliser against West Ham and he claimed it was a brilliant point against the pre season favourites for the division.

Clayton powered home his first goal for the club after Jonny Howson had seen his effort comeback of both crossbar and post.

Speaking on Sky Sports straight after the game, Clayton said, "That was a brilliant point for us, especially after conceding an own goal again.
"For us to come back twice against a team like West Ham, away from home, were delighted."

The midfielder was once again orchestrated the Leeds midfield and deservedly got the equalising goal.

Clayton has taken his chance in the Leeds side this season with both hands and once again, he walked away with the post match man of the match after out battling the West Ham midfield of Scott Parker, Mark Noble and Kevin Nolan.

What a gem this lad has turned out to be. Some credit to SG for spotting this rough diamond. Lets hope it dissolves some of his fear about bringing in young players with Lees, White and Thompspon already being tested this season.

We need to start sorting out new deals for the likes of Clayton, Lees, Nunez and Gradel. We have a relatively young side that if we can keep them together could really progress this club in the next four or five years.
