LUFC Bates enjoying Leeds foreplay

Leeds United chairman Ken Bates likened his tenure at Elland Road to 'foreplay,` as he continues the rebuilding of the club.

Bates has been the target of much criticism from fans over the summer, with some protesting against him before the game against Middlesbrough at the weekend.

The often outspoken Bates, isn`t worried about the demonstrations and he insists he is building for the future. Bates said, 'Some fans may not like me, or agree with me, but you're stuck with me.
'I saved your club in 2005 and 2007 when nobody else would. The rebuilding of Leeds United is a bit like sex. In an age of instant gratification, Leeds United is having a long, drawn-out affair with plenty of foreplay and slow arousal.
'We're in this for the long term. We may have had two disappointing results, but we will get there - we are building for the future.'

Leeds finally put a disappointing start to the season behind them last night with a comprehensive win over Hull City at Elland Road.

Goals from Ross McCormack, Tom Lees, Robert Snodgrass and Ramon Nunez ensured a 4-1 win.

We didn't have a choice in 2007 as shares could only be sold to you despite better offers from other parties!

Very funny dangerousman. I am sure he is also the owner of the ground and training pitch and is renting it to Leeds.

He needs to pull his finger out, and get his teeth into the job, and the results will come. Works for me every time.
