LUFC Clayton - The win will give us confidence

Leeds United midfielder is hoping that the win over Bradford City in the Carling Cup will see the side full of confidence at the weekend.

Leeds were beaten 3-1 at Southampton on Saturday and were under pressure tonight against their League Two opponents.

The mood wasn`t helped in the ground when Leeds found themselves trailing at half time.

Leeds were level in the opening moments of the second half when Ramon Nunez scored his first competitive goal in a Leeds shirt.

Bradford retook the lead before Ross McCormack and a second goal by Ramon Nunez clinched the game for Leeds.

Clayton believes the win can give Leeds the lift they needed, speaking on Sky Sports after the game, Clayton said, "We came out in the second half and showed we are a together group, everyone is in it together and got the win we deserved in the end.
"We can go into Saturday full of confidence now. I think it was what we needed after Saturday and after the first half tonight. Everyone was against us really, but we`ve pulled through so this will give us more confidence than coming out and winning four or five nil."

Clayton orchestrated the Leeds midfield and was deservedly named man of the match by Sky.
