LUFC Multi ball system dropped

Leeds United will not be using the multi ball system at Elland Road this season after clubs in the Football League decided to drop the system.

Leeds used the system for the first time last season to try to keep the tempo and speed of the game up, as opposition clubs can sometimes be guilty of slowing play down.

The system worked well despite a few teething problems in the early part of last season, which saw the referee ask for all balls to be collected and a one ball system operated.

The decision was made at the Football League`s AGM and EGM meetings during the summer.
