'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Scunthorpe Utd 2-1 Leeds United

Despite taking the lead, Leeds were beaten for the second time running after a gritty performance by their hosts Scunthorpe.

Robbie Blake shot Leeds ahead after 40 minutes but that lead was shortlived as Matthew Sparrow equalised a minute later. Billy Sharp got the winner for Scunthorpe from a corner in the 52nd minute.

With the start of the Championship campaign just round the corner, we hope this form will be shortlived, as a bad start to the season could be disasterous for our promotion hopes.
