LUFC Leeds transfer rumours

Another week passes by and still no sign of anymore signings at Elland Road, although the rumours continue.

David Stockdale continues to be linked with a move to Leeds. The Fulham keeper seems keen on a move according to his twitter comments.
The main obstacle is rumoured to be the 24-hour recall clause Fulham want to include in the loan.
Ipswich Town have also joined the race to sign him along with Swansea City.

Sanchez Watt is rumoured to be on the verge of another season long loan with the club.

Watt spent last season on loan and once again seems to be down the pecking order at the Emirates.

After being linked with a move for Sammy Clingan last week, Leeds are reported this week to have offered £1 million for the midfielder.

Another name that keeps popping up is striker Adam Le Fondre from Rotherham United.

The Millers have reportedly turned down a £500,000 bid from Scunthorpe United this week.

With Leeds without Luciano Becchio and Davide Somma for the start of the season, Grayson might want to bring in another forward, but surely, it would just be on loan whilst Becchio recovers from his injury.

A new name in the hat this week is Burnley midfielder Wade Elliott.

He would fit into the Leeds way of signing players as he was out of contract at Turf Moor at the end of the season.

Leeds are also rumoured to be interested in bringing former loan player Carl Dickinson back to Elland Road from Stoke City.

The left back was one of Grayson`s first signings at the club when he joined for a month in January 2009.

Dickinson spent time on loan at Portsmouth last season and seems surplus to requirements at Stoke.

Two players who have been linked with a move to Leeds over the summer have signed for new clubs.

Goalkeeper Jason Brown, who had a short loan spell at Leeds last season, has signed for Aberdeen and experienced midfielder Jonathan Greening has joined Nottingham Forest.

Simon Grayson admitted this week that he held talks with former player Lee Bowyer, who decided on a move to Ipswich Town.

The Max Gradel rumours slowed down this week and Grayson denied media reports that he had asked for a transfer.

The one rumour this week regarding players leaving the club was Robert Snodgrass being linked with a move to Premier League side Wigan Athletic.

With just two weeks until the opening game at Southampton, surely we will see someone come into the club over the next seven days.

If you are to believe what Grayson says then a new signing is imminent, although he has been saying that for two weeks!

Rumours so far this summer since the 2010/11 season finished
