LUFC Clubs reduce amount of substitutes

The Football League have announced that clubs will only be able to name five substitutes from the start of the 2011/12 season.

Football League clubs voted for the change at their EGM, which was held at the King Power Stadium - Leicester.

The move sees clubs having two less options on the bench for games in all three divisions of the Football League.

A spokesperson for the Football League commented on the decision, when they said, "This was felt to be a sensible and prudent step given the financial challenges facing many football clubs."

All clubs will still be able to name seven substitutes for Carling and FA Cup games.
