LUFC Bates - No future for Schmeichel at Leeds

Leeds United chairman Ken Bates has said that Kasper Schmeichel has no future at Elland Road and the club will be moving on, with or without him.

Leeds agreed a deal with Leicester City on Monday for the services of Schmeichel who still has one year remaining on his current contract at Leeds.

Bates is making it clear though if Schmeichel decides to turn down a move away from Elland Road that he will not be featuring.

Speaking in the Yorkshire Evening Post , "We`ve decided that we`re going to sign two new goalkeepers and Kasper will not be first choice.
"Now he has a decision to make. He either accepts that he`s out of the limelight for a year or he goes to Leicester or another club that comes in for him. We will be moving on."

Leeds have been linked with a host of goalkeepers since the news that they had agreed to sell Schmeichel.

The club currently have no first team goalkeeper after releasing Shane Higgs at the end of the season.

It's typical Bates, same as when Beckford and Johnson wouldn't sign deals on his terms he spat his dummy out and placed them on the transfer list. If he isn't even going to give him a chance next season then Kasper might as well go now. I think Bates must have got bullied at school!

What it says here on the poll ''I honestly can not work out what the club is doing''... Why in the first place did Grayson/Bates spring on Kasper that he was no longer needed'' more excuses about to many goals been conceded, with a joke of defence who wouldn't expect anything else...

If we don't want to keep shipping goals the defence needs a major overhaul. And that includes the goalkeeper. End of.

End off? So probably Brown will come in and do better dough it very much'' dispatched Kasper without even having another keeper lined up...Were else would you see it...

His agent has been making all the wrong noises for a while, He's only got a year left on his contract, He STILL lives in a hotel in Leeds, We leaked goals all over the place last season with him in goal (its his job to make defenders do what is needed) and he's worth a few quid at moment ... why should we let him shop window himself for a year then watch him leave for free ?? we're not a charity ... WE ARE LEEDS !!!

Roman Bates strikes I'll decide whom comes and goes, S G grow a pair and stand upto the old goat, the rest of the defence were part of the goals conceeded when will they be leaving ???

Just look at how this saga with Schmeichel has been handled. Somebody is not telling the truth and I don't think it's Schmeichel. Part of me hopes he says, 'right, I'm going nowhere for a year,' I will sit in the stands and take my wages and at the end of next year you will lose another player for nothing. Bates is nothing more than a bully but these days it's the players with the power and not the chairmen.
