LUFC Johnson all set for move

Bradley Johnson looks set to sign for Premier League new boys Norwich City after reportedly travelling to Carrow Road this week for a medical.

The midfielder is out of contract at Elland Road at the end of this month and with negotiations with Leeds coming to nothing the former Northampton midfielder is certain to leave on a free transfer this month.

The 24 year old will finally get his dream move to the Premier League after spending three seasons at Elland Road making 140 appearances.

There is no further news on Neil Kilkenny who is also out of contract this month.

The 25 year old has been on international duty with Australia for the past few weeks, playing in their friendlies against New Zealand and Serbia.

I think both are marginal Championship players and neither is PL standard. Johnson always seems to have 'potential' but never quite gets there. It may be out coaches that are not getting 100% out of him (he attracted PL interest after playing a few games at Brighton in the 2009/10 season ) but after three different management teams you would have thought one of them would have brought out what is in there.

This is where football is wrong in this day and age. He will be a bench warmer at best, he's not in the same league as the likes of Hoolahan who are already at the club. Gone are the days when players joined clubs to play first team football. Wages are now more important than actually playing it seems. Then again Johnson seems the sort of deluded fool who actually thinks he's better than he actually is.

Championship player at best but I suppose its a gamble worth taking for Norwich when they are getting him on a free.
