Darlington 1-4 Leeds United

Leeds secured a 4-1 victory against Darlington on Thursday night to continue their unbeaten pre-season form.

A number of fringe reserve players also played under the watchful eye of Kevin Blackwell.

Fit-again Gylfi Einarsson opened the scoring in the first half before a wonder-strike by Fabio Digenti leveled things after 55 minutes.

A 5 minute brace from Jermain Beckford put Leeds in control before Hayden Foxe wrapped things up just before time.

It's very disappointing that we are selling our best kids. Walton didn't get a chance last season and has gone to Charlton for £1M. We gave Aaron Lennon away for £1M with no sell on clause. He is now an England International and worth £15M. This wasn't the old board. This was the Bates regime. Short sighted at best and selling off the silverware is what we have become used to at Leeds. Who's next ?? Kilgallon ?

Good to see a former Pompey player scoring, shame things didn't work out for him in the end with us, but he'll do a good job for you if you sign him?

Hopefully we will sign Foxe, i've seen him in action for Pompey a few times and he always looked good, I think he'll make an excelent championship defender.

Would prove a useful signing for you, his experience if nothing else would help out many of your youngsters. Without doubt he'll have no problems at Championship level. Nobody really knows if he could cut it in the Prem, didn't really happen at either WHU or with us for various reasons.
