LUFC Leeds Carling Cup draw details

The first fixture for next season will be announced at 10am on Thursday June 16th when the first round of the Carling Cup draw details will be released by the Football League.

Clubs will once again be seeded and un-seeded, depending on where you finished in the league last season.

Leeds United will be amongst the seeded clubs after finishing in seventh place in the Championship last season.

Last season Leeds beat League Two side Lincoln City 4-0 at Elland Road in the first round before bowing out in the second round at home to Leicester City 2-1.

The ties in the first round will take place in the first week of the new Football League season, week commencing August 8th.

The draw on Thursday June 16th will be the day before the Football League announce the new fixtures for next seasons Championship.

oxford away would be a good game to get for me geographically.

I think in the Carling cup this season we really need to use the players not getting a chance in the first team with the club pulling out of the reserve league. If players like Nunez, Lees, White and Clayton are going to find themselves out shopping on a Saturday afternoon then give them a chance in this competition.
