LUFC Leeds admit to receiving enquiries

Leeds United have revealed that they have received a number of enquiries about their players already in the close season.

With the 'silly season` already in full flow and Leeds continuously being linked with players both in and out, the club have issued a statement on the matter.

Leeds chief executive Shaun Harvey, speaking on the official website said, "It would be nave to believe that we would not receive any enquiries about our players who, collectively, achieved a seventh place finish in the championship last season.
We will continue our policy of not commenting on specific speculation, but would re-iterate our position that any players leaving will do so in those circumstances that we believe represents the best interests of the club and has the full support of Simon Grayson."

With the now inevitable departure of Bradley Johnson and Neil Kilkenny who both come to the end of their contracts at the end of the summer fellow players Max Gradel and Robert Snodgrass are being strongly linked with other clubs.

Max Gradel has been linked with Newcastle United and German Bundesliga side SV Hamburg.

Robert Snodgrass is the latest to be linked with a move away from Elland Road with the club reportedly turning down a bid of 3.5 million from Norwich City.

West Bromwich Albion are also reported to be chasing the Scottish international.

The question is "What price is right to be in the best intersts of the club". Every player has his price and it is naive to think we could resist the sort of offer we had for Fabian Delph especially if the player wants to go as well. (and play in the PL on quadruple his current wages) Snoddy and Max are mentioned here but there are strong rumours that Howson and Kasper have also been targeted.

I think this statement from the club is just a softener and them more or less admitting that one of the main players still in contract will be leaving this summer.
