'If It's Football, It's Vital'

LUFC View from the Valley - Federico Bessone

Vital Charlton have been kind enough to answer a few question about Federico Bessone who finished the season on loan with the Addicks.

Many thanks to Chris (Red God) from the Vital Charlton site.

Had you heard of Bessone prior to him signing for Charlton and what did you think of the signing when announced?
I had heard of Bessone from his time at Swansea and a Leeds supporting friend who told me he was useless! We had been playing people out of position to fill the left back berth so when Powell arrived I expected a specialist left back to be brought in.

What did you think of Bessone during his time at The Valley?
Fede did okay without setting the world on fire but he did pick up one or two injuries. The majority of Charlton fans would be happy for the deal to be made permanent.

What were his strength's and weaknesses?
At his best, Bessone in his time at Charlton, passed well and was at his best going forward, with a venomous shot. He could be frail defensively at times.

With him being transfer listed at Leeds would you like to see him sign for Charlton?
He is more than capable at this level and personally I'd be quite happy for him to sign for us on a permanent basis. His wages could be a problem though.

Did the Charlton fans come up with any good chants or nicknames for Bessone?
Unfortunately, the Charlton fans came up with nothing by way of a chant for him.

Thanks to Chris for his views, it certainly sounds like he played better for Charlton than he did at Leeds.

With him being transfer listed by Leeds, please feel free to offer him a deal.
