LUFC Leeds to offer Nunez new deal

Leeds United have decided to offer Ramon Nunez a new one-year deal.

Leeds initially signed the striker on a six-month contract in January, with the option of an extra year and they have decided to take up the option after he impressed during a loan spell at Scunthorpe United.

Nunez scored three times in eight games for the Iron but couldn`t prevent them from being relegated to League One.

The 25 year old is an experienced Honduras international and came away with the Most Valuable Player award at the Copa Centro Americana tournament in January.

Nunez made just two substitute appearances for Leeds, after initially signing on a short-term deal in the autumn.

He made an impact for the Leeds reserves, scoring five goals in four games and will now be hoping to push for a starting place when the players return for pre season training in July.
