Police Target Leeds Fans

Police Target Leeds Fans

As if the sight of police with cameras touring pubs this week expecting (and in some cases causing) trouble isn't enough. They are now expecting trouble from Leeds fans in London.

More than 500 police officers are taking part in a 'day of action' across the rail network on Saturday to tackle football hooliganism.

Police say the fixtures in London involving supporters of Leeds and Hull are of 'particular concern'.

Andy Trotter, Deputy Chief Constable of British Transport Police (BTP), said: 'Rowdy football fans can be a nightmare for other passengers. Even when they are only being boisterous, in the confines of a train or in large groups on stations, they can be very intimidating.'
