LUFC Leeds v Watford Form Guide

Vital Leeds looks at the form of both Leeds and Watford going into the clash at Elland Road on Saturday.

Leeds

The whites come into the game on the back of two defeats in the last week.

They were beaten 3-2 at Millwall last weekend and followed that up with a 2-1 midweek defeat at Derby County.

It`s only the second time this season that Leeds have lost two games in a row since losing to Leicester and Cardiff at home back in October.

Following those defeats, they went on an undefeated run lasting twelve games.

Last time out at home they beat fellow play off hopefuls Nottingham Forest 4-1.

Leeds are now unbeaten at home in their last thirteen Championship games since losing to Cardiff.

They are the highest scorers at home in the Championship this season with 44 goals in 20 games only failing to score twice against Cardiff and Ipswich.

So far this season at home they have won ten, drawn six and lost four.

Leeds currently occupy the last remaining play off place in sixth, with 64 points from 41 games.

Recent home form:
Norwich D 2-2
Barnsley D 3-3
Doncaster W 5-2
Ipswich D 0-0
Nottingham Forest W 4-1

Watford
The Hornets slim play off hopes seem to have gone after picking up just one point from two games at home this week.

After losing to Hull 2-1 last Saturday, they were held to a 2-2 draw by Norwich on Tuesday night.

Last time out on their travels, they lost 2-0 at Coventry City.

They have picked up just one point from a possible twelve in their last four games, with a draw and three defeats.

The highest home scorers come up against the highest on their travels on Saturday.

Watford have found the net 33 times in 20 games this season, one ahead of Leeds.

They have only failed to find the net on four occasions on their travels this season at Hull, Barnsley, Nottingham Forest and Coventry.

Watford were the first side to inflict a defeat on runaway leaders Queens Park Rangers this season when they won 3-1 at Loftus Road in December.

They also have the biggest away win in the division this season when they won 6-1 at Millwall in September.

So far this season on their travels they have won seven, drawn five and lost eight.

Watford are currently in 11th place with 57 points from 41 games.

Recent away games:
Doncaster D 1-1
Swansea D 1-1
Ipswich W 3-1
Middlesbrough L 1-2
Coventry L 0-2

Neither side are in great form at the moment. We really need to go for it from the first minute on Saturday or the fans will get inpatient.
