'If It's Football, It's Vital'

LUFC View from the opposition manager

Vital Leeds looks at what opposition boss Billy Davies had to say after seeing his side beaten 4-1 at Elland Road.

The manager says that they intend to appeal against the red card shown to Chris Cohen that changed the game.

Speaking on Sky Sports, Davies said, 'I've spoken to our chief executive, Mark Arthur, and we're definitely intending to appeal the red card. Definitely,' said Davies.
'We've seen the DVD and the referee said it was for excessive force, but I agree with our chief exec Mark and we'll definitely go to appeal and see how we get on.
'You decide for yourselves. You don't need me to tell you. We all know what took place today."

Davies also felt had the game finished 11 against 11 his side wouldn`t have been looking at the same score line after 90 minutes.

Speaking on their official website Davies said, "It is a pity the game didn`t finish 11 versus 11 because we totally dominated the first half, we created chances and severely restricted theirs and we didn`t get what we deserved from the game."

The result sees Forest slip out of the play off places after Reading moved above them on goal difference with a 2-0 win over Portsmouth.

They are appealing the red card, it will probably mean Cohen gets let off and Grayson will probably get a touchline ban for entering the field of play if our history with the football league is anything to go by!

The bloke gets right up my nose, he's just got a smugness about him that makes him unpopular and get under the skin of the opposition.
