LUFC Leeds v Ipswich Head To Head

Vital Leeds looks at the head to head record between Leeds United and Ipswich Town at Elland Road.

The two sides have met on 32 previous occasions with Leeds winning 16, Ipswich 7 and 9 draws.

Leeds have won just three of the last eleven encounters at Elland Road since 1988.

The first encounter between the two sides came during the 1954/55 season when Leeds won 4-1 thanks to two goals each from Harold Brook and Peter Vickers.

Ipswich enjoyed their first win on their next visit to Elland Road during the 1960/61 season when they won 5-2.

The last time the two sides met the game finished 1-1 with Ipswich scoring a last minute equaliser that condemned Leeds to relegation from the Championship.

Remember the 4-0 win well. It was actually a rearranged game after the original got called off at the last minute due to a waterlogged pitch after I had made the long trek to Leeds. Yeboah got a hat trick in the rearranged game
