LUFC Grayson - It will go down to the wire

Leeds United boss Simon Grayson believes the promotion race in the Championship will go right down to the wire.

Grayson was interviewed on Talk Sport and he is anticipating a tight run thing in a very tough division.

Speaking to Alan Brazil on the breakfast show, Grayson said, "It`s going to go right down to the last weekend.
"It`s a tough division, anything can happen. You`ve just got to try and concentrate on what you can do.
"We go to QPR the last game of the season and hopefully they are up by then and we might be in the play-off positions by then."

Leeds are currently in sixth place and after a poor performance last weekend they bounced back with a good win over Doncaster Rovers on Saturday.

With other results going Leeds way at the weekend, Leeds are now just five points behind second placed Swansea City.

It is just as close with teams trying to get into the play off places. Burnley are four points behind Leeds with two games in hand and Hull, Leicester, Reading and Portsmouth are all in good form and a maximum of six points outside the play off places.

We have players with the experience of last season and the pressures it brings. We need to have a really good March. Its a funny old league, Forest looked good for second place a few weeks ago but can't seem to buy a win recently and who would have thought Swansea would lose at Scunny after the way they beat us. I am sure it will go to the wire, not sure my heart can take another last day like last season though.

I just hope we ares till in with a shout of either auto or the play offs at the end of the season. We have far outdone anything I expected at the start of the season.
