LUFC Another Premier League referee to take charge

Premier League referee Lee Probert will be the man in charge when Leeds United take on Doncaster Rovers at Elland Road on Saturday.

Probert is the third referee from the elite list to take charge of a Leeds game in a row.

The Gloucestershire official has taken charge of 24 games so far this season, showing 59 yellow cards and 6 reds.

Probert took charge of Leeds on two occasions last season, the defeats at both Norwich and Charlton when they were beaten 1-0 on both occasions.

The last time Probert took charge of Rovers was during the 2007/08 season. He was in charge of the 2-0 defeat at Plymouth in the Carling Cup and also the League One defeat at Carlisle 1-0.

Last three Leeds games:
2008/09 Peterborough (a) 0-2
2009/10 Norwich (a) 0-1
2009/10 Charlton (a) 0-1

Last three Doncaster games
2004/05 Tiverton (a) 3-1
2007/08 Plymouth (a) 0-2
2007/08 Carlisle (a) 0-1

Referee: L. Probert (Gloucestershire)
Assistants: D.C Richards & W. Smallwood
Fourth official: E. Ilderton

The last two have been a joke against Barnsley and Swansea. Probert wasn' much better when we had him at Norwich and Charlton last season. I think there is a conspiracy to keep Leeds in the Championship. Funny how we are suddenly getting premier League referees and getting nothing from them. Then again we haven't had a decent ref yet this season.
