LUFC Grayson looking for final push

Leeds United boss Simon Grayson wants to see his team continue the form that has taken his team into the top six this season and claim at least a play off place.

Leeds find themselves in sixth place with just twelve games remaining and with Leicester City and Burnley amongst the closing pack, Grayson want his side to give it their best shot in their first season back in the Championship since 2007.

Speaking on the official website, Grayson said, "We`ve got twelve games now to cement a place in the Play offs. It`s the best opportunity we have because it`s where we are.
"It`s a big opportunity, but there`s another six or seven clubs thinking exactly the same thing. All we can do is give it our best shot, just as we have done all this season, and see where it takes us."

Leeds are now eight points behind second place Swansea City after losing to the Welsh side last week and they have now gone three games without a win.

The Whites have enjoyed a great run in the Championship that has seen them rise from sixteenth place in October to amongst the clubs chasing promotion with just two defeats in their last twenty-two games.

In Leeds last twelve games of the season, they face two clubs currently in the top six, Nottingham Forest and Queens Park Rangers.

They also still have to face Burnley, Reading, Millwall and Watford, clubs that haven`t given up hope of reaching the play offs.

At the other end of the table they still have to play, Preston, Sheffield United, Crystal Palace and Derby County who are all fighting for survival.

Ipswich Town and Doncaster Rovers are both in mid table, but they will both feel they need another three wins to guarantee their safety in the division.

There is bound to be plenty of twists and turns over the final two months of the season.

Twelve games to go and I think seven wins needed (75 points) to be sure of Play offs. I think the auto spot is out of reach unless we can win a minimum of 10 and I can't see that happening.

Whatever happens from here, I have enjoyed a great season. Much better than I ever anticapted. Just ready for the ride as its bound to go down to the wire. Leeds never do anything the easy way.
