'If It's Football, It's Vital'

LUFC Opposition managers view

Norwich City manager Paul Lambert felt his side deserved a point in an entertaining game at Elland Road.

Norwich came from a goal down to take the lead halfway through the second half.

A game that had everything eventually finished all square when Leeds substitute Davide Somma equalised with his first touch.

Speaking on Radio Norfolk, Lambert said, "I think a draw was fair, two very good sides and an absolutely terrific game for the Championship. The crowd were brilliant, I think both sets of supporters thoroughly enjoyed it and its one of them games where it doesn`t matter whether your Norwich or Leeds fans I think they will have really enjoyed it."

Over 31,600 packed into Elland Road; with a strong vociferous following making their way up from Norwich, enjoyed an entertaining game that was a credit to the Championship.

Both the sides, who only came up from the League One last season, look well set to be there or thereabouts in the Championship promotion places come May.

It could have quite easily have finished 5-5. The one thing he is right about was the crowd, great atmosphere yesterday especially in the NEL who did most of the singing, especially in the first half. Some good banter between the NEL and Kop during the game.

The first half performance should have been enough to claim the points. In games like this we need to be more clinical
