'If It's Football, It's Vital'

LUFC Gonzalez praises team spirit

New on loan signing David Gonzalez has praised the team spirit around Elland Road.

The goalkeeper joined Leeds on the final day of the January transfer window and despite not being involved in the first team since his arrival he`s quickly noticed the good vibe around the place.

Speaking in the Yorkshire Evening Post, Gonzalez said, 'The atmosphere and team spirit is just great. All the lads have taken to me being here as if I've been here for months already and I've only been here for a few weeks. It feels like we're all aiming for the same thing.'

The 28 year old is currently behind Kasper Schmeichel and Shane Higgs in the pecking order but he couldn`t wait to join Leeds, 'Kasper has been outstanding all season long and I'll just try and add a little bit to the squad and do my best. I didn't think about joining for a second. Leeds are a massive club with a lot of history,' he continued.

Gonzalez played in a behind closed doors friendly against York City last week and kept a clean sheet in a 0-0 draw.
