Grayson - We can now concentrate on promotion push

Leeds United boss Simon Grayson says that the club can now concentrate on promotion after breaking through the magical fifty point barrier with a win at Bristol City.

Grayson set Leeds a first target of reaching fifty points this season. Fifty points is usually enough to guarantee safety in the division and with Leeds now on 52 points, with still 15 games remaining, Grayson will be looking for around another 25 points to guarantee the minimum of a play off place.

The top twelve will still feel they have a great chance of reaching the play offs but Grayson is determined to focus on what Leeds are doing only and not what the other teams around them are doing.

Speaking on Radio Leeds, Grayson said, "All we can do is try and concentrate on what we are doing, there`s no point worrying about what other people are doing. All we want to do is try and influence the games that we are involved in.
"We`ve got enough points to suggest we are not going to get relegated, which was the main aim, we`ve achieved that, where we finish off, only time will tell."

Leeds can now look forward to two massive games in the next two weeks.

First up come last seasons fellow promoted side Norwich, who like Leeds have adapted excellently to life back in the Championship.

Norwich are currently in third place, two points ahead of Leeds after another injury time goal secured them three points against Reading.

The following weekend Leeds travel to fourth place Swansea City who are currently just one point ahead of Leeds.

It`s sure to be an entertaining and nail biting final third of the season.

We are well set for the run in, starting to kep clean sheets as well.

15 games to go, I think if we could win 10 of them then we will be very close to automatic promotion. Probably another 7 wins should see us safely into the play offs. Lots of teams at the top to play each other so lots of points will be dropped.

It was slightly disheartening to see so many of our rivals sneak injury time winners yesterday but as dazza says if we beat them starting next week, its then in our own hands

We're save from relegation now thats one achievement' done' with, now we have to try and keep the push going...If we can get a few wins on the hop' and hope the teams above of us start dropping points...

Keep winning and we'll finish at least in the playoffs, think automatic is beyond us though, too many dropped points early in the season.
